Bad breath may be caused by either food particles like sugar, jelly etc. this is specially observed after having tea, coffee, or a cold drink. In the mornings after brushing you feel fresh but immediately after having a cup of tea or coffee, Sugar particles immediately form a coat over the teeth causing bad breath.  99% toothpastes have a sugar and mint base (except for a few available in India), which adds mint odour to the mouth but does not kill bad breath. The other reason for bad breath would insufficient rest or insufficient sleep, may be due to over work,  and workoholicism. A tired body and tired body parts emit foul odour in the form of bad breath.

Simple practical tips for curing bad breath.

  1. After brushing gargle with a a pinch of salt. Salt helps in removing coating over the teeth as well as kills germs. You can try this after having a cup of tea, the sugary effect is immediately lost after having a gargle of salt.
  2. Take sufficient rest, make it a habit to complete atleast 8 hours of sound sleep, follow this over a week and observe the change, bad breath will disappear.
